Message for us
I met Tomoko In January 2006 at National University of Singapore when we both enroll the Mandarin program as a foreign language.
2006 年 1 月シンガポールの国立大学で私と智子は出会いました、時期を同じくして二人共に大学の中国語のクラスで勉強しました。
Tomoko has always been a bubbly and cheerful classmate and person genuinely interested in others culture (something consistent among all my Japanese friends).
智子は、いつも陽気で、純粋に異文化にたいして興味を抱いていました。 (なんだか、私の日本人の友達はみんな揃って、そうですよね。)
While I was co-founding a publishing firm, Viscion Media Group (70 people, 5 monthy publications such as Lexean magazine) in Singapore,
私がシンガポールで、Viscion Media Groupという、５誌の月刊誌を出版する従業員７０人の雑誌社を共同で運営していた間、
this young lady was still very dedicated to her mandarin class as well as working for the International radio.
智子は、非常に熱心に中国語のクラスに取り組みながら、シンガポールの国際チャンネルのラジオでも頑張って働いていました。
My editorial team would listen to her program to have a feel of the expatriate community in Singapore.
私の編集チームはシンガポールにいながらにして日本の異文化に触れるために、智子の出演している番組に耳を傾けていました。
We shared great friendship and fruitful exchanges as Tomoko was always keen in humbly teaching about Japanese culture.
智子は日本の文化についていつも熱心に教えてくれ、私達は楽しい時間を過ごしました。
Thanks to her education and most importantly her drive to always perfect her knowledge, she has been a source of great input when I needed to learn about her country.
彼女の熱心な姿勢のおかげで、私は日本について学びたい時には、いつも学ぶことができました。
If I have to describe Tomoko in 2 words (and its very reductive because she is so much more…),
智子という人物を 2つ の言葉で説明する必要があるとすると（彼女はとても２語では表せないけれど・・・）

1.Availability:She is always here to help and has a sincere open heart to share
いつも側にいてくれる：いつでも助けになってくれる
2.Professionalism:She has an open mind.
She embraces all aspects of a subject until mastering the most of it and she would show the best of the subject.
プロ意識・プロ根性: 彼女は心を常に開いています。
彼女はその物事をきっちりマスターするまでの間は、積極的にあらゆる方向から見て汲み取るでしょう、
そして、彼女はその事柄を最高のやり方で見せるでしょう。
When time will come for my new company, Rochembeaux, to venture in Japan, I am not confident about many things.
But Tomoko dedication is something I can be sure of.
私の新しい会社、Rochembeaux、が日本へ踏み出す時が来たら不安も多いと思いますが、智子はいつでも助けてくれると確信しています。
